The Armory is a free copy of a pavilion in the Shrubs Hill, England. Architect A.A. Menelas started the construction of the Armory in 1819 and architect A.A. Ton finished the construction in 1834. <br/>A museum of arms holding a collection of more than 5000 items was situated in the Armory in the time of Nikolay I (since 1834). The collection items occupied two floors and stairway of the building. <br/>A several cannonries of early 15th century that had been gifted to Nikolay I by the King of Denmark, were located at the entrance to the Armory.
