{"content":"<div class=\"objectInfo_response\">\n    \n        \n            \n                <div class=\"object\" style=\"width:713px; padding-left: 10px; margin-left:0;\">\n\n                                                                                                                                                                                        \n            \n            <div class=\"objectCommonInfo\">\n                                                                                                                                                                                    \n                                                                                                        RUSSIAN NAVY ARCHIVE, STATE (RSNA) (36 Millionnaya Street) was founded in 1724 for the Admiralty Collegium, and from 1827 it was a part of the Sea Ministry. From August 1917, it was the Central Archive of Fleet and Sea Office. In 1918, it became a part of the United State Archive Foundation, from 1941 it was called the Central State Navy Archive of the USSR, and since 1992 it has had its present-day name. It contains over one million files (2002) on the history of Russian Navy since the 17th century up to 1940 and includes materials on the Russian Fleet creation and its war operations, the development of sea science and engineering, armament development, the construction of ports, the Kronstadt fortress, revolutionary events, Russian and Soviet fleet commanders. Documents about navy education, preparation of personnel for Russian and Soviet fleet are situated in foundations of navy academies, higher naval schools, midshipman and other officers’ classes, courses and schools. The history of St. Petersburg and Leningrad is preserved in materials of scientific research institutes, scientific expeditions, medical navy institutions, the Central Navy Museum and others. The archive foundation has documents of Admirals F.F. Ushakov, D.N. Senyavin, P.S. Nakhimov, S.O. Makarov, et al., scientists and inventors M.V. Lomonosov, D.I. Mendeleev, N.F. Mozhaysky, A.S. Popov et al., navigators V. Bering, I.F. Krusenstern, Y.F. Lisyansky, V.M. Golovnin, O.E. Kotzebue et al., seamen Decembrists D.I. Zavalishin, K.P. Torson, brothers M.A. Bodisko and B.A. Bodisko, A.A. Bestuzhev, et al., participants of the revolutionary movement and the Civil War, figures of the Soviet Navy N.G. Kuznetsov, I.S. Isakov, et al. Until 1926, the archive was situated in the building of the Major Admiralty and in the New Holland, since 1926, it has been located in the former building of the State Council Archive (1883-87, architect M.E.
