In 1716, he came to St. Petersburg commissioned by Tsar Peter the Great; when in the city, he was granted an unprecedented rank of Architect General (the chief of all building works in St. Petersburg) with the salary of 5,000 Roubles (the sum included the payment for the work of workmen that came with him). In 1717, he designed a new project for St. Petersburg planning (see Master plans of St. Petersburg - Leningrad development), and contributed to the building of Peterhof (the planning of the park, finishing Mon Plaisir). His works also include the \"Water Garden\" in Strelna and the designing of Peter the Great's Summer Palace interiors. Together with D. Trezzini he projected plans of \"model\" (standard) houses for St. Petersburg inhabitants. Le Blond occupied the house at the intersection of Moika River Embankment and Nevsky Prospect. He was buried at Sampsonievskoe Cemetery (the grave has not been preserved).

References: Калязина Н.В., Калязин Е.А. Жан Леблон // Зодчие Санкт-Петербурга, XVIII век. СПб., 1997.
